Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work A bright corner in Hampshire by Allen Culpepper Sealy for GBP 192.00 (€ 282.60). This price was achieved in the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Allen Culpepper Sealy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tattenham Corner, The Derby, 1880 in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 22,800.00 (€ 33,551.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A bright corner in Hampshire von Allen Culpepper Sealy für GBP 192,00 (€ 282,60) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Allen Culpepper Sealy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tattenham Corner, The Derby, 1880 im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.800,00 (€ 33.551,74).
