Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work A dog in a wood by Allen Culpepper Sealy. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 300.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 336.00 (€ 497.33). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Allen Culpepper Sealy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tattenham Corner, The Derby, 1880 in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 22,800.00 (€ 33,551.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A dog in a wood von Allen Culpepper Sealy zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 300,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 336,00 (€ 497,33) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Allen Culpepper Sealy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tattenham Corner, The Derby, 1880 im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.800,00 (€ 33.551,74).
