Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alistair Grant could be acquired at Christies in London in January 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20C British Art auction, the work The Bridge at Etaples changed hands for GBP 1,725.00 (€ 1,941.77) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Other works by Alistair Grant have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2002 by the work Boulogne I at GBP 1,527.50 (€ 2,427.55).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alistair Grant konnte im Januar 2009 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20C British Art wechselte die Arbeit The Bridge at Etaples für GBP 1.725,00 (€ 1.941,77) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Alistair Grant wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im September 2002 die Arbeit Boulogne I mit GBP 1.527,50 (€ 2.427,55).
