Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2004 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Le Touquet - 6am by Alistair Grant. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 836.50 (€ 1,264.14) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Alistair Grant have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2002 the work Boulogne I was auctioned for GBP 1,527.50 (€ 2,427.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Touquet - 6am von Alistair Grant zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 836,50 (€ 1.264,14) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Alistair Grant konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im September 2002 die Arbeit Boulogne I für GBP 1.527,50 (€ 2.427,55) versteigert.
