Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Mappa del mondo - L'insensata corsa della vita (Map of the World - The nonsensical course of Life) by Alighiero Boetti for GBP 10,825.00 (€ 14,926.07). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alighiero Boetti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tutto in November last year with an auction result of USD 6,060,000.00 (€ 5,870,386.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Mappa del mondo - L'insensata corsa della vita (Map of the World - The nonsensical course of Life) von Alighiero Boetti für GBP 10.825,00 (€ 14.926,07) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alighiero Boetti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tutto im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.060.000,00 (€ 5.870.386,52).
