Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Sothebys in Zurich held the auction Swiss Art / Swiss Made, which included the work La Toilette by Alice Bailly. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CHF 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of CHF 33,750.00 (€ 28,828.71) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alice Bailly achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Patinage Au Bois De Boulogne in December 2014 with an auction result of CHF 389,000.00 (€ 323,582.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Sothebys in Zürich die Auktion Swiss Art / Swiss Made durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Toilette von Alice Bailly zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CHF 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CHF 33.750,00 (€ 28.828,71) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alice Bailly erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Patinage Au Bois De Boulogne im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 389.000,00 (€ 323.582,68).
