Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La India by Alfredo Ramos Martínez was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in July 2020. The price achieved of USD 939,000.00 (€ 797,519.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfredo Ramos Martínez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers of Mexico, which sold at auction in June 2007 for USD 4,072,000.00 (€ 3,011,834.32).
