Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alfred Walter Williams could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work Near Renfrew, North Wales changed hands for GBP 288.00 (€ 417.74) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Walter Williams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Children on a bank of a tranquil river, a cottage beyond in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,520.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alfred Walter Williams konnte im Juli 2005 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Near Renfrew, North Wales für GBP 288,00 (€ 417,74) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Walter Williams erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Children on a bank of a tranquil river, a cottage beyond im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.525,00 (€ 5.520,20).
