Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2019 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Autumn Mist, Lake George by Alfred Thompson Bricher. Here, the upper estimate of USD 100,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 106,250.00 (€ 96,424.36). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred Thompson Bricher - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Afternoon, Southampton Beach, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 250,000.00 (€ 214,224.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Autumn Mist, Lake George von Alfred Thompson Bricher zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 100.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 106.250,00 (€ 96.424,36) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred Thompson Bricher mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Afternoon, Southampton Beach beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für USD 250.000,00 (€ 214.224,51) versteigert wurde.
