Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Bonhams in New York held the auction American Art | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Afternoon, Salem, Massachusetts by Alfred Thompson Bricher. The price achieved of USD 2,048.00 (€ 1,935.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Thompson Bricher achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Afternoon, Southampton Beach in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 214,224.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion American Art | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit Afternoon, Salem, Massachusetts von Alfred Thompson Bricher zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.048,00 (€ 1.935,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Thompson Bricher erzielen.
