Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Esopus Creek 9 1/8 x 18 1/8 in. (23.2 x 46 cm.) by Alfred Thompson Bricher was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in May last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,925.00 (€ 8,317.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Thompson Bricher achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Afternoon, Southampton Beach in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 214,224.51).
