Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Evening Picnic by Alfred Reginald Thomson was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in April last year. The price achieved of GBP 1,275.00 (€ 1,520.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Reginald Thomson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The London Amateur Boxing Championship held at the Royal Albert Hall, 1948 in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 73,250.00 (€ 90,337.59).
