Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2003 Christies in London held the auction TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH ART, which included the work Mixed Flowers by Alfred Reginald Thomson. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 223.25 (€ 316.20). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Reginald Thomson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The London Amateur Boxing Championship held at the Royal Albert Hall, 1948 in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 73,250.00 (€ 90,337.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mixed Flowers von Alfred Reginald Thomson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 223,25 (€ 316,20) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Reginald Thomson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The London Amateur Boxing Championship held at the Royal Albert Hall, 1948 im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 73.250,00 (€ 90.337,59).
