Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Mrs Radcliffe, seated half-length, at a table in an oriental gown by Alfred Priest was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in January 2009. It changed hands for a price of GBP 562.50 (€ 633.19) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by Alfred Priest have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sea piece in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 1,527.50 (€ 2,560.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Mrs Radcliffe, seated half-length, at a table in an oriental gown von Alfred Priest wurde im Januar 2009 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 562,50 (€ 633,19) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred Priest auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sea piece im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.527,50 (€ 2.560,89).
