Auction result misses estimated price range
In October this year a collector was able to acquire the work The Duomo in Milan after Snowfall by Alfred Eisenstaedt for USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,816.81). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Eisenstaedt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Children At A Puppet Theatre, Paris' in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 39,425.96).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Duomo in Milan after Snowfall von Alfred Eisenstaedt für USD 1.920,00 (€ 1.816,81) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Eisenstaedt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Children At A Puppet Theatre, Paris' im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 39.425,96).
