In April 2007 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art & Orientalist Art, which included the work The Hunter by Alfred Dubucand. The auction ended at the price of USD 12,000.00 (€ 8,784.77), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alfred Dubucand have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hunting in the Sahara in October 2006 with an auction result of USD 90,000.00 (€ 70,461.13).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im April 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art & Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Hunter von Alfred Dubucand zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 12.000,00 (€ 8.784,77) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred Dubucand auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hunting in the Sahara im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 90.000,00 (€ 70.461,13).
