Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alfred Dubucand could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale auction, the work French Young Boy Of The Maghreb changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 4,817.57) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Dubucand achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hunting in the Sahara in October 2006 with an auction result of USD 90,000.00 (€ 70,461.13).
