Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction European Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Au But (The Finishing Line) by Alfred Boucher. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,283.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Boucher achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Frenchl'Hirondelle Blessée in February 2017 with an auction result of GBP 85,000.00 (€ 99,481.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion European Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Au But (The Finishing Line) von Alfred Boucher zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.283,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Boucher erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Frenchl'Hirondelle Blessée im Februar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 85.000,00 (€ 99.481,54).
