Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Le Four A Chaux: A Study For The Panorama Of The Battle Of Champigny by Alphonse de Neuville for USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,576.34). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alphonse de Neuville - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Salute, which sold at auction in October 2008 for USD 43,750.00 (€ 34,497.71).

Im Januar 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Le Four A Chaux: A Study For The Panorama Of The Battle Of Champigny von Alphonse de Neuville für USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.576,34) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00.
