In the Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny auction, the work Champigny: A Study For The Panorama Of The Battle Of Champigny changed hands for USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,618.71) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alphonse de Neuville have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Salute in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 34,497.71).
