Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2017 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Sonntag in Tirol by Alfons Walde. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 161,000.00 (€ 188,676.11). Admittedly, works by Alfons Walde have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Der Aufstieg in December 2016 with an auction result of EUR 762,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sonntag in Tirol von Alfons Walde zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 150.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 161.000,00 (€ 188.676,11) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfons Walde auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Der Aufstieg im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 762.500,00.
