Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work German Cherries And Hollyhocks by Alexis Kreyder for USD 17,500.00 (€ 13,799.09). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Alexis Kreyder have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2004 by the work A Bouquet of Roses In A Silver Monteith at GBP 11,352.50 (€ 16,539.16).
