Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alexis Hunter could be acquired at Christies in London in September 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the on paper | online auction, the work A Young Polynesian Considers Cultural Imperialism Before She Goes to the Disco changed hands for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,836.28) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alexis Hunter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sexual Rapport: Yes/No/Maybe in April 2013 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,800.58).
