In the Russian Art and Paintings auction, the work The Fairground sold for GBP 22,100.00 (€ 30,945.72) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alexei Alexeevich Arapov; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Dinner Party sold at auction in June 2007 with the realized price of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 39,176.27).
