Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seated Nude by Alexei Alexeevich Arapov was sold in the Russian Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in November 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,823.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexei Alexeevich Arapov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Dinner Party, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 26,400.00 (€ 39,176.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Seated Nude von Alexei Alexeevich Arapov wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion Russian Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.823,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexei Alexeevich Arapov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Dinner Party beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 26.400,00 (€ 39.176,27) versteigert wurde.
