Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2003 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Pictures, which included the work Meeting in the village street by Alexandre René Veron. The price achieved of GBP 1,645.00 (€ 1,656.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexandre René Veron achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Along the riverbanks in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 17,625.00 (€ 20,769.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Meeting in the village street von Alexandre René Veron zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.645,00 (€ 1.656,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexandre René Veron erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Along the riverbanks im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.625,00 (€ 20.769,50).
