Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2005 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Pictures, which included the work A Sunlit, Riverside Town by Alexandre Jacob. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,680.00 (€ 2,446.75). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexandre Jacob - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wintertag an der Seine bei Asnières, which sold at auction in May 2013 for EUR 7,740.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Sunlit, Riverside Town von Alexandre Jacob zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.680,00 (€ 2.446,75) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexandre Jacob mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wintertag an der Seine bei Asnières beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für EUR 7.740,00 versteigert wurde.
