Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexandre-Gabriel Decamps - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French a Desert Passage, which sold at auction in April 2017 for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 35,625.52).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.000,00 (€ 9.748,15) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexandre-Gabriel Decamps mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit French a Desert Passage beobachtet, die im April 2017 für GBP 30.000,00 (€ 35.625,52) versteigert wurde.
