Auction result misses estimated price range
In July this year a collector was able to acquire the work A study for Paysage (Don Quichotte) by Alexandre-Gabriel Decamps for USD 768.00 (€ 696.91). This price was achieved in the auction Home & Interiors at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexandre-Gabriel Decamps achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French a Desert Passage in April 2017 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 35,625.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A study for Paysage (Don Quichotte) von Alexandre-Gabriel Decamps für USD 768,00 (€ 696,91) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Home & Interiors bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexandre-Gabriel Decamps erzielen.
