The work Portrait of boy with his dog, circa 1827 by Alexandre Delatour was sold in the Old Master and British Works on Paper, including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection auction at Sothebys in London in December 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 1,260.00 (€ 1,407.53), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 58%. Admittedly, works by Alexandre Delatour have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of Countess Elisaveta Vorontsova, Née Branicka (1792-1880) in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,279.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 58 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait of boy with his dog, circa 1827 von Alexandre Delatour wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper, including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.260,00 (€ 1.407,53) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexandre Delatour auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of Countess Elisaveta Vorontsova, Née Branicka (1792-1880) im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.279,70).
