Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Alexandre Benois achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2019. In the Russian Art auction, the work Venice at dusk; and The garden at Oranienbaum, St Petersburg sold for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,241.48) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexandre Benois achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Revue De La Garde Passée Par L'Empereur Paul Ier Devant Le Château Michel (6 Janvier 1801) in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 482,500.00 (€ 580,624.17).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexandre Benois erzielte im Juni 2019 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Art wurde die Arbeit Venice at dusk; and The garden at Oranienbaum, St Petersburg für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.241,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexandre Benois erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Revue De La Garde Passée Par L'Empereur Paul Ier Devant Le Château Michel (6 Janvier 1801) im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 482.500,00 (€ 580.624,17).
