In June 2019 Christies in London held the auction Russian Art, which included the work Orléans; and Set design for 'Diane de Poitiers' by Alexandre Benois. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,496.59), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexandre Benois achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Revue De La Garde Passée Par L'Empereur Paul Ier Devant Le Château Michel (6 Janvier 1801) in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 482,500.00 (€ 580,624.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Orléans; and Set design for 'Diane de Poitiers' von Alexandre Benois zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.496,59) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexandre Benois erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Revue De La Garde Passée Par L'Empereur Paul Ier Devant Le Château Michel (6 Janvier 1801) im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 482.500,00 (€ 580.624,17).
