In December 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work Taking the sacrament to a sick person, Trau, Dalmatia by Alexander Wallace Rimington. The price achieved of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,904.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Taking the sacrament to a sick person, Trau, Dalmatia is the most expensive artwork by Alexander Wallace Rimington that we have observed at auctions so far.
