Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2024 a collector was able to acquire the work Composition with windmill by Alexander Tovborg for DKK 5,000.00 (€ 4,369.87). This price was achieved in the auction Modern art and design at Bruun Rasmussen and was even below the estimate range of DKK 8,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Tovborg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work PROVERBS OF HELL (the road of excess leads to the palace of wisdom) lucifer, which sold at auction in March last year for USD 18,900.00 (€ 17,037.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2024 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Composition with windmill von Alexander Tovborg für DKK 5.000,00 (€ 4.369,87) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern art and design bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von DKK 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Tovborg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit PROVERBS OF HELL (the road of excess leads to the palace of wisdom) lucifer beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für USD 18.900,00 (€ 17.037,77) versteigert wurde.
