Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alexander Orlovsky could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Russian Art auction, the work Giacomo Quarenghi wearing the Order of the Knights of Malta and playing the flute changed hands for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,203.11) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alexander Orlovsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Battle between the Georgians and the mountain tribes in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 58,850.00 (€ 68,701.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
