Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work Four Costume Designs for Sleeping Beauty and Two for Petrushka (six works) by Alexander Nikolaevich Benois. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,930.00 (€ 8,136.47) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Nikolaevich Benois achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Promenade of Empress Elizabeth in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 441,600.00 (€ 349,809.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Four Costume Designs for Sleeping Beauty and Two for Petrushka (six works) von Alexander Nikolaevich Benois zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.930,00 (€ 8.136,47) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Nikolaevich Benois erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Promenade of Empress Elizabeth im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 441.600,00 (€ 349.809,89).
