This artwork by Alexander Mann achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2006. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Tangier sold for GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,418.28) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Mann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Gleaners in October 2002 with an auction result of GBP 71,700.00 (€ 113,416.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexander Mann erzielte im Juni 2006 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wurde die Arbeit Tangier für GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.418,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Mann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Gleaners im Oktober 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 71.700,00 (€ 113.416,76).
