Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alexander Karlovich Beggrov could be acquired at Sothebys in London in June 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Russian Paintings auction, the work View Of Concarneau changed hands for GBP 35,000.00 (€ 40,851.27) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alexander Karlovich Beggrov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Panorama of The Neva River Left Embankment And The Strelka of Vasilievsii Island, St. Petersburg in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 156,000.00 (€ 231,496.15).
