Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2000 Christies in London held the auction THE SCOTTISH SALE - EDINBURGH, which included the work The Ebb and Flow of Life by Alexander Hohenlohe Burr. The price achieved of GBP 16,450.00 (€ 28,117.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Hohenlohe Burr - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Logan Braes, which sold at auction in October 2002 for GBP 37,045.00 (€ 58,598.66).
