Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alexander Helwig Wyant could be acquired at Christies in New York in December 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Late Afternoon changed hands for USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,470.80) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alexander Helwig Wyant have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hudson River View in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 84,000.00 (€ 62,439.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexander Helwig Wyant konnte im Dezember 2008 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit Late Afternoon für USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.470,80) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexander Helwig Wyant auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hudson River View im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 84.000,00 (€ 62.439,60).
