Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Noonday Rest by Alexander Harrison for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,772.44). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Harrison achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Seascape in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 42,000.00 (€ 34,599.23).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Noonday Rest von Alexander Harrison für USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.772,44) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Harrison erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Seascape im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 42.000,00 (€ 34.599,23).
