Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alexander Harmer could be acquired at Bonhams in February this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer auction, the work Sketch of Inez changed hands for USD 637.50 (€ 601.30) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Harmer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mission San Juan Capistrano in November last year with an auction result of USD 35,655.00 (€ 34,539.38).
