In the Russian Pictures auction, the work The Duke and Duchess of Windsor's Banquette Room at 24 Boulevard Suchet, Paris sold for GBP 13,860.00 (€ 16,150.50) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexandre Serebriakoff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ensemble De Six Panneaux Trompe L'Oeil, which sold at auction in September 2012 for EUR 46,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 98 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexandre Serebriakoff erzielte im Juni 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Pictures wurde die Arbeit The Duke and Duchess of Windsor's Banquette Room at 24 Boulevard Suchet, Paris für GBP 13.860,00 (€ 16.150,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexandre Serebriakoff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ensemble De Six Panneaux Trompe L'Oeil beobachtet, die im September 2012 für EUR 46.600,00 versteigert wurde.
