The price achieved of GBP 3,989,600.00 (€ 4,528,789.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,500,000.00 – 4,500,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Coal Miner is the most expensive artwork by Alexander Alexandrovich Deineka that we have observed at auctions so far.
