In the 19th Century European Pictures including Russian Pictures auction, the work The Jolly Musician sold for GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,782.64) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alex de Andreis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Arrival of D'Artagnan, which sold at auction in June 2003 for GBP 5,377.50 (€ 7,727.76).
