This artwork by Alessandro La Volpe achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2007. In the 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures auction, the work Ischia at dusk sold for GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,885.78) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Alessandro La Volpe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Sorrentine Coast with a view of Vico Equense in the Bay of Naples in April 2002 with an auction result of USD 26,290.00 (€ 29,204.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 76 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alessandro La Volpe erzielte im März 2007 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures wurde die Arbeit Ischia at dusk für GBP 2.640,00 (€ 3.885,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alessandro La Volpe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Sorrentine Coast with a view of Vico Equense in the Bay of Naples im April 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 26.290,00 (€ 29.204,62).
