This price was achieved in the auction Master Paintings Evening Sale at Sothebys in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 120,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alessandro Allori; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Holy Family With The Infant Saint John The Baptist sold at auction in July 2007 with the realized price of GBP 557,600.00 (€ 828,164.71).
