Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Two Costume Designs For Ruslan And Liudmila: Arab; And Svetozar by Alexander Yakovlevich Golovin for USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,752.85). This price was achieved in the auction Russian Paintings and Works of Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Yakovlevich Golovin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Fridrikh Eduardovich Krimmer, 1919 in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 90,500.00 (€ 134,297.45).
