A top price for Alec Monopoly - as previously expected
The work Monopoly Man by Alec Monopoly was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in March last year. The price achieved of HKD 50,400.00 (€ 5,801.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Monopoly Man is the most expensive artwork by Alec Monopoly that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Monopoly Man von Alec Monopoly kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.400,00 (€ 5.801,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Monopoly Man das teuerste Kunstwerk von Alec Monopoly, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
