Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work La forêt dans l'appartement by Alberto Savinio was auctioned at Christies in June last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 120,000.00 – 180,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 113,400.00. Admittedly, works by Alberto Savinio have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Croix marine in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 692,750.00 (€ 781,208.28).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit La forêt dans l'appartement von Alberto Savinio im Juni letzten Jahres bei Christies versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 113.400,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alberto Savinio auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Croix marine im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 692.750,00 (€ 781.208,28).
